오늘 아침 일찍 우리는 Living Water Alliance (생수의 강 연합) 교회에서 9월 15-18일에 4일간의 부흥회를 하기 위해 시카고로 떠난다. 여러분의 기도 중에 이 사역을 기억해 주기 바란다. 이 교회는 올해 부활절 날 세워진 새 교회이다. Mitch 목사님과 김은실 목사님이 이 기름부음 받은 예수님의 몸된 교회를 이끌 때에 그들을 축복해 주기 바란다. 이 교회는 주께서 이 부흥회 기간 동안 강력한 것을 풀어 달라고 40일 간의 금식과 기도 기간을 가졌다. 여러분이 기도할 때에 우리가 주님을 향한 큰 추수를 볼 수 있도록 해 달라는 그들의 기도에 동참해 주기 바란다. 아멘!
나는 오늘 아침에 우리가 떠나기 전에 여러분을 위한 신선한 만나가 있는지 주님께 여쭈어 보았다. 나는 내가 한번도 가보지 못한 천국의 어떤 장소로 들림 받았다. 그곳은 씨를 보관하는 창고였다. 그곳에는 씨를 담은 많은 큰 자루들이 있었고 벽에는 “씨”라고 쓰여있는 간판이 보였는데 그 아래에는 읽기에는 너무 작은 글자들이 보였다. 나중에서야 그 글자들이 “심는 자에게 씨와 먹을 양식을 주시는 이가 너희 심을 것을 주사 풍성하게 하시고 너희 의의 열매를 더하게 하시리니 너희가 모든 일에 넉넉하여 너그럽게 연보를 함은 그들이 우리로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하게 하는 것이라 (고후 9:10-11)” 라는 것을 알았다. 천국에는 결코 씨가 모자라지 않는다.
나는 사람들이 문에 가장 가까운 곳에 있는 자루로부터 소량의 씨를 취하는 것을 보았다. 그들은 씨를 퍼가기 위해 물컵의 사분의 일 혹은 그 보다 작아 보이는 매우 작은 국자를 사용하고 있었다. 이에 대해 주님이 “왜 자루 전체를 가지고 가지 않느냐? 원한다면 더 많이 취하라”고 하셨다. 너무나 자주 우리는 너무 작게 생각한다. 우리는 작게 요청하고 작게 기대하는 것이 마치 미덕인 양 행동한다. 바울은 고린도후서 9장 6절에서 “이것이 곧 적게 심는 자는 적게 거두고 많이 심는 자는 많이 거둔다 하는 말이로다”라고 경고하고 있다. 이후에, 주님이 “빈곤의 영을 깨뜨릴 때이다. 천국에는 부족함이 없다! 만약 네가 하늘에서 이루어진 것같이 땅에서도 이루어지기를 원한다면 이런 빈곤의 사고방식에서 탈피해야 한다!”라고 말씀하셨다. 하나님은 항상 풍성하게 주신다. 바울을 통해서 주신 고린도후서 9:8-9의 약속을 기억하라. “하 나님이 능히 모든 은혜를 너희에게 넘치게 하시나니 이는 너희로 모든 일에 항상 모든 것이 넉넉하여 모든 착한 일을 넘치게 하게 하려 하심이라 기록한 바 그가 흩어 가난한 자들에게 주었으니 그의 의가 영원토록 있느니라 함과 같으니라 (고린도후서 9:8-9)” 우리가 하나님의 왕국의 일에 준비되기 위해서는 주님의 풍성함이 필요하다.
로마서 15:29에서 바울이 “내가 너희에게 나아갈 때에 그리스도의 충만한 복을 가지고 갈 줄을 아노라” 라고 했다. 여러분은 어떠한가? 복의 충만함으로 나아갈 것인가? 요한복음 10:10의 예수님의 말씀을 기억하라. “도둑이 오는 것은 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것 뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라 (요10:10)” 우리는 이 구절의 전반부를 후반부보다 더 자주 인용한다. 확대번역본에서는 “내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 풍성하고, 온전히, 차고 넘칠 때까지 얻게 하려는 것이라”고 되어 있다. 여러분은 그러한 차고 넘침을 경험하고 있는가? 그러한 차고 넘침이 우리가 많은 물질을 소유하도록 주어진 것이 아니라 우리가 하나님의 왕국 의무를 다하도록 무장되기 위해 주어진 것이다. 주님은 여전히 “너희 심을 것을 주사 풍성하게 하시고 너희 의의 열매를 더하게 하시리니 너희가 모든 일에 넉넉..” 하기를 원하신다. “주라 그리하면 너희에게 줄 것이니 곧 후히 되어 누르고 흔들어 넘치도록 하여 너희에게 안겨 주리라 너희의 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희도 헤아림을 도로 받을 것이니라 (눅 ! 6:38)”< /SPAN>
오늘 아침 나는 엄청난 양의 씨를 보았지만 너무나 적은 양만 취해지는 것을 보았다. 지금은 더 많이 기대하고, 더 많이 구하고, 더 많이 구제하고, 우리의 왕국 양식을 더 많이 취할 시기이다. 요한은 우리가 “마지막 때 (요일 2:18)”에 살고 있다고 말했다. 예수님은 마태복음 9:37-38 에서 “이에 제자들에게 이르시되 추수할 것은 많되 일꾼이 적으니 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 청하여 추수할 일꾼들을 보내어 주소서 하라”고 제자들에게 말씀하셨다. 우리 중 많은 이들이 거두는 자만이 되도록 가르침을 받아왔다. 하지만 정작 예수님은 진정한 “일꾼”들을 부르셨다. 지금은 씨를 뿌릴 계절이다. 씨뿌리는 자의 비유에서 예수님은 씨가 하나님의 말씀이라고 하셨다. 너무나 흔히 우리는 씨 뿌리는 것을 돈을 투자하는 것으로만 생각한다. 이제 하나님의 말씀이신 왕국의 씨를 뿌릴 때이다. 가능하면 많은 불신자들에게 말씀을 심을 때이다. 지금은 마지막 때이다! 지금은 씨를 뿌릴 때이다! 아멘!
Early this morning we are leaving for Chicago to do a 4 day revival in Living Water Alliance Church, September 15-18, 2011. Please keep this ministry in your prayers. This is a new church established on Easter this year. Bless Pastors Mitch and Eunsil Kim as they lead this anointed body of Christ. The church has been in a 40 day season of fasting and prayer for the Lord to release something powerful in this time of revival. Please join your prayers with theirs that we may see a mighty harvest for the Lord. Amen!
I asked the Lord if there was any fresh manna for you before we left this morning. I was lifted up to a place in heaven I had never visited before. It was a storeroom for seed. There were many large sacks of seed and a sign on the wall which simply said “Seed” with some small letters below which were difficult to see. I later learned that it said, “Kingdom Seed, take what you need.” I remembered the words of 2 Corinthians 9:10-11, “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.” There is no shortage of seed in heaven.
As I watched, people were taking small amounts of seed from the bag nearest the door. They were using very small scoops (1/4 cup and less) to get small portions of seed. I heard the Lord say, “Why don’t you take the whole bag? Take more if you want!” So often we think too small. We act as if it is a virtue to only ask for and expect a little. Paul gives a warning in 2 Corinthians 9:6, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” Then I heard the Lord saying, “It is time to break off the spirit of poverty. There is no lack in heaven! If you want it to be on earth as it is in heaven, you must break free from this poverty mentality!” God always gives in abundance. Remember Paul’s promise in 2 Corinthians 9:8-9, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” We need His abundance to be equipped for kingdom business.
In Romans 15:29, Paul said, “I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ.” How about you? Will you go in the fullness of the blessing or in a measure? Remember the words of Jesus in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” We quote the first half of this verse more than the second half. The Amplified Bible says “I come that they may have life in abundance, to the full, till it overflows!” Are you experiencing the overflow? It is not given so we can have a lot of stuff, but for us to be equipped for kingdom duty. The Lord still wants to “multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything…” Jesus said, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)
This morning I saw vast amounts of seed and yet so little was being taken. This is a season to expect more, ask for more, reach out for more and take more of our kingdom provisions. John said that we are living in “the last hour.” (1 John 2:18) Jesus said (Matthew 9:37-38), “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Many of us have been taught to be harvesters, but Jesus called for workers. Now is a season for sowing seed. In the parable of the sower, Jesus said that the seed is the Word of God. Too often we only think of seed as money. Now is a time to sow the seed of the kingdom which is the Word of God. Now is the time to plant the Word in as many unbelievers as possible. This is the last hour! Now is the time to sow! Amen!
